Most paople are afraid they'll be attacked by a shark. Although it is possible that you could be attacked it's very unlikely. However there are ways to avoid being attacked by a shark first, travel in groups sharks are more likely to attack solitary humans second, stay out of the water if you have a cut since sharks have a good sense of smell.

It is more likely that you will be struck by lightning In a costal states of the U.S., about 180people are struck by lightning every year, but only about 11people are attack by sharks. of course chances are only one of them will be fatal.   ~  Reasurch shows it is more likely to struck by lightning then be attacked by a shark.
